Joshua Tyler Jameson

Joshua Tyler Jameson was born and raised in Columbus Ohio, where he attended The Ohio State University, earning his BM in Trombone Performance and Music Composition. He has played in a number of ensembles throughout the Columbus area, including the Central Ohio Brass Band, Chapel Brass, and as a founding member of the Dublin Silver Band where he's played tenor and bass trombone, baritone and euphonium. Most recently, he has become a member of the 338th United States Army Band, also based in Columbus.

Joshua's passion for music goes beyond just playing his trombone, as he is also a decorated composer and arranger. He is a four-time recipient of the US Open's 'Best New Composition or Arrangement Prize', and his works have been performed throughout the United States and Great Britain. Ensembles that have performed his works include River City Brass Band, Cory Band, Tredegar Town Band, The National Youth Brass Band of America, the Paducah and Elizabethtown Symphony Orchestras, the Glassmen Alumni Drum and Bugle Corps, the Ohio State University Athletic Band, various United States Army ensembles, and of course, Dublin Silver Band.
