This superb arrangement by Andrew Wainwright for ten-piece brass ensemble comprising of traditional British brass band instruments of Gustav Holst's popular Jupiter from The Planets Suite, was commissioned by an ensemble from The Illinois Brass Band for the North American Brass Band Championships in 2020, although regrettably had to be cancelled due to the Covid 19 pandemic.

Jupiter, the Bringer of Jollity, is the fourth movement of Gustav Holst’s epic suite The Planets, composed between 1914 and 1917. With its vivid depiction of the expansive and majestic spirit of the planet Jupiter, the movement is one of the most iconic and recognisable sections of the entire suite. Holst’s Jupiter conveys a sense of grandeur, optimism, and exuberance, offering both sweeping melodies and bold rhythmic energy.
