The second in a new series of classic marches transcribed for brass sextet, The Cossack opens with a magnificent portrayal of the strength and vigor reminiscent of a Russian Cossack. An insightful trio provides evidence of a Cossack's more reflective side, before a short bridge takes the music back, via a Da Capo, to its opening power and strength. Another fine march from William Rimmer, known as the 'March King', who is reputed to have written over a hundred marches.
The march is transcribed Andrew Wainwright so that all the important elements from the original are maintained, and will be ideal for smaller groups where fielding a full band is not possible. The flexible instrumentation means it will be playable by a wide range of instruments, and comes with optional drum set part.
PDF download includes score and full set of parts in both march card and letter size.
